How can we save on build size with 2DFX?

  • We noticed that the 2DFX uses a 'Resources' all over and within it's scripts.

    Unity docs:

    "All assets that are in a folder named "Resources" anywhere in the Assets folder can be accessed via the Resources.Load functions. Multiple "Resources" folders may exist and when loading objects each will be examined."

    This is causing a build size increase for us. Is there a way to keep build size optimized without pruning 2DFX and deleting any of the effects we are not using?

    Without deleting the unused effects, it's an hard problem to solve, even for us.
    Our team are finding solutions to improve this aspect and to provide a new solide version of 2DxFX.

    We are actually working on a new major version of 2DxFX and hope it will be release really soon.
