Warp Effect

I'm making a Space Shooter, it's 3D but with a fixed top down view, Pseudo2D. I'm looking for an effect for in warp. For entering warp I already saw some nice effects, like Warp-Aspiration. The rain effect would be perfect if I turn up the distortion way high and make it really fast. But I can't rotate it all the way. Is there a way to rotate it 360 degrees? Or if that doesn't work then one of the raindrop effects?
