Help adjusting fog effect

I am trying to adjust the fog effect, I want to make the fog more transparent, like a very very light fog, the default effect is very heavy like a thick smoke. I have tried adjusting all the parameters and none of them have any effect. I also tried the Myst filter and have same result. Any ideas?
